TN’s Unity Convention – Our IMDs Show Their Human Spirit, Raising Over $15K For Several Charities!
DAVIE, FL – Energy, excitement and enthusiasm were abundant in the Team National IMDs from all across the country at our Unity Convention in Atlanta, GA . Generosity was felt throughout the convention as well, with more than $10K in donations received from the extended TN family. These funds will be distributed amongst our five Charities of Choice. Our charities include Feed The Children, The Great Lakes Burn Camp, Gateway for Cancer Research, The Boys & Girls Club of Broward County and the Humane Society of Broward County.
Additionally, this event generated a total of $5900 for the Chapter 38 Special Forces Association Casualty Fund. Greg Wilson from North Glen, CO, donated $2100 to the Casualty Fund during a live auction for a “Strength and Honor” print at the convention. Another patriot, John Opperman, from Rockford, IL, also donated $2100 for a “Strength and Honor” print. Johnna Parr, author of “When the Dream is BIG Enough” and Team National Double Platinum Presidential Director donated $1500 in proceeds from her book sales. Several others contributed cash donations totaling an additional $200. These generous contributions are greatly appreciated. The Special Forces Association is a non-profit organization with established funded groups as Scholarship, Patriot and Memorial Building funds.
